USC Rossier School of Education Alumni Reception at Waialae Country Club | Honolulu Event Photography
I had the pleasure of photographing the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education alumni reception at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
The event brought together USC Rossier alumni, faculty, and members of the university community for an evening of networking, conversation, and reconnecting here on Oahu. It was a great opportunity to document an event that brought people together from different backgrounds, all connected through their experiences at USC.
Corporate Event Photography at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu
Located in Honolulu's Kahala neighborhood, Waialae Country Club was a beautiful setting for the evening's reception. The event took place in the Waialae Room, where guests gathered for an evening of conversation and networking.
My photography coverage focused on capturing the event naturally, from the venue details and guest arrivals to candid conversations, group portraits, and the evening's key moments.
One of the things I enjoy most about corporate event photography is finding those genuine interactions happening throughout the room. While posed group photos are always important, some of my favorite images are the candid moments between guests catching up, sharing stories, and enjoying the event.
Photographing USC Rossier's Alumni Reception
The evening included remarks from USC Rossier Dean Pedro Noguera, with faculty member Monique Datta serving as the event's emcee.
Throughout the reception, I photographed the dean interacting with attendees, alumni reconnecting with one another, and the various moments that helped tell the story of the evening.
For university events and corporate receptions like this, I always aim to deliver a well-rounded collection of images that can be used for newsletters, social media, university publications, marketing materials, and future event promotions.
My approach is a combination of documentary-style event photography and natural, lightly directed portraits. I want guests to feel comfortable in front of the camera while still making sure the organization receives professional, polished images that represent its event.
Professional Corporate Event Photography on Oahu
As a Honolulu corporate event photographer, I've had the opportunity to work with businesses, universities, organizations, and visiting companies hosting events throughout Hawaii.
Whether it's an alumni reception, corporate conference, networking event, award ceremony, or company retreat, my goal is to capture the overall atmosphere while paying attention to the smaller details and interactions that make each event unique.
My editing style focuses on natural skin tones, balanced lighting, and softer colors that complement Hawaii's tropical environment without taking away from the professional feel of the event.
For the USC Rossier reception, I delivered a professionally edited gallery that the university's team could use for its post-event communications and future marketing.
A big mahalo to the USC Rossier Special Events Office for trusting me to photograph the evening. It was a pleasure working with your team and documenting your time here in Honolulu!
