Non-Profit Event Photography for Cohen’s Veterans Clinic | Mililani, Oahu

When Cohen Veterans Network opened its Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic in Mililani on Oʻahu, the focus was on honoring service, community, and access to care for veterans and their families across Hawaiʻi.

I was brought on to photograph both the interior of the clinic and the official opening ceremony, with imagery created specifically for newspapers, media outlets, the clinic’s website, and long-term marketing use. For a mission-driven non-profit, these images needed to feel professional, respectful, and authentic while still being press-ready.

Photographing the Interior Space

Before the ceremony began, I documented the interior of the Mililani clinic. Clean architectural lines, welcoming patient spaces, and thoughtful design details were photographed to reflect the calm, supportive environment the clinic provides.

Interior photography like this plays a key role in media coverage and digital storytelling. These images help the public immediately understand the purpose and professionalism of the space, especially when a new clinic opens in the community.

Opening Ceremony & Media Coverage

The opening ceremony brought together leadership, staff, and community members to mark an important milestone. From podium speeches and candid interactions to wide crowd perspectives, the goal was to capture moments that felt genuine and news-worthy.

Corporate non-profit events move quickly, especially when press and community stakeholders are present. My approach to corporate event photography on Oʻahu is to anticipate moments while staying unobtrusive, ensuring the final gallery includes strong visuals that editors and marketing teams can immediately use.

A Successful Collaboration

The Cohen Veterans Network team was incredibly organized and collaborative, which allowed the day to flow smoothly. After delivery, they shared that they were very happy with the results, particularly how well the images worked across press releases, digital platforms, and ongoing outreach efforts.

This project is a great example of how professional photography supports non-profits beyond the event itself. Strong imagery helps extend the impact of an opening ceremony long after the last guest leaves.

Corporate & Non-Profit Event Photography on Oʻahu

From clinic openings to conferences and community events, I work with organizations across Oʻahu to create polished, story-driven imagery that serves both media and marketing needs. Events like this require a balance of documentary storytelling and brand awareness, especially when representing organizations doing meaningful work in the community.
