Corporate Headshots for Hyatt Hotels in Honolulu by Mike Vidales

Corporate headshots don’t always need to feel like picture day at school. No stiff smiles, no awkward lighting, and definitely no “why does my face look orange?” moments. Recently, I photographed a corporate headshot session in Honolulu for the Hyatt Hotels team, and we kept it clean, simple, and professional.

This session was a little different. The team had a smaller budget, so instead of going for fully retouched images, they chose a color-adjusted-only package. At $50 less per person, it’s a smart option for larger teams that just need clean, professional portraits without the extras. That said, there’s definitely a noticeable difference in the final product. Modern cameras pick up everything. Every pore, every tiny detail you never asked to see. That’s where retouching really shines, softening things just enough to keep the focus on you, not your skin texture. But if you’re fine with the essentials, think of it like ordering your coffee black instead of with all the fancy toppings…straightforward, efficient, and exactly what you need.

The result? A set of headshots that look consistent, approachable, and ready for everything from LinkedIn to internal branding. No one looked overly retouched, no one looked like a wax figure, just real people, captured in the best light. For flexibility, I offered both outdoor natural light portraits and a studio setup for this shoot. I brought my mobile studio straight to one of their company parties, making it easy and convenient for the whole team to step in, get their portraits done, and get back to celebrating.

That’s the beauty of offering flexible headshot packages. Some businesses want every detail polished like a magazine cover. Others like Hyatt in this case, just need professional portraits that are ready to go without breaking the budget. Both options work, it’s just about what your team needs most.

If you’re searching for corporate headshots Honolulu, affordable headshots Oahu, or even a quick headshot session in Honolulu, I can help you find the right fit. From budget-friendly staff portraits to fully retouched executive headshots, I make sure you get photos that work hard for your business — without the awkward picture-day vibes.
